"Defined an entire decade of UK rock’n’roll with one tune." Astenblaft! En of de vier jongelui uit Glasgow alle verwachtingen maar eens eventjes willen inlossen. Inmiddels heeft Glasvegas luid en duidelijk bewezen ook live fier overeind te blijven, zodat haar tussenstop in Hasselt wel eens één van de hoogtepunten van het festival zou kunnen worden. "There’s not enough hype in the world for Glasvegas. They are an important, amazing, real band that won’t let you down. Not because they play real instruments and sing real songs about real people; they’re real because they put their entire hearts and souls and brains into it. And that is rock’n’roll." Aldus NME. Cd is leuk, vind het jammer dat we ze gemist hebben @ G9.
Ik vond ze aanvankelijk wel fascinerend op London Calling maar ze pasten niet goed in de sfeer die er op dat moment hing. Misschien kwam het daardoor dat onze aandacht snel plaatsmaakte voor dorst…
